2-The Fourfold Gospel



When I sent you forth without purse, and wallet, and shoes, lacked ye anything? And they said, Nothing. See Mark 6:8. In this passage our Lord draws a contrast between the favor with which his messengers had been received on their "former" mission and the trials and persecutions which awaited them in their "future" course. If they had prepared then to be received with joy, they were to prepare now to be opposed with bitterness; for the utter rejection of the Master would be followed by the violent persecution of the servants.
And he was reckoned with transgressors. See Isaiah 53:12.
And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. The apostles took the words of Jesus literally, and showed two swords, and the Lord, for their future enlightenment, said, It is enough. Thus intimating that he did not mean a literal arming with carnal weapons, for had he done so, two swords would not have sufficed for twelve men.

(( "حِينَ أَرْسَلْتُكُمْ بِلاَ كِيسٍ وَلاَ مِزْوَدٍ وَلاَ أَحْذِيَةٍ، هَلْ أَعْوَزَكُمْ شَيْءٌ؟» فَقَالُوا: «لاَ " انظر مرقس6 :8 . في هذا القول ، يجري ربنا مقارنة بين ما تلقاه رسله من الإستحسان واللطف و المحاباة في إرساليتهم السابقة من ناحية وبين ما سيكون في إنتظارهم من التجارب والإضطهادات في مهامهم المستقبلية من ناحية أخري .
فإن كانوا قد هيئوا أنفسهم من قبل أن يتم استقبالهم بالبهجة والسرور . فعليهم أن يعدوا أنفسهم الأن علي أن يتم مقاومتهم بشدة . حيث أن الرفض التام للسيد سوف يعقبه الإضطهاد العنيف للخدام .
" وَأُحْصِيَ مَعَ أَثَمَةٍ." أنظر (إشعياء53 : 12).
" فَقَالُوا: «يَارَبُّ، هُوَذَا هُنَا سَيْفَانِ»." لقد أخذوا كلمات يسوع بشكل حرفي ، وأبرزوا سيفين ، فقال الرب ، لأجل تنوير بصيرتهم المستقبلية " يَكْفِي!»" فيما يعني أنه لا يقصد تسليحاً بالمعني الحرفي بأسلحة مادية وقتية ، لإنه إن فعل ذلك ، فإن سيفين لن يكفوا أثني عشر رجل . )) .
