Luke 22:35-38. Coming danger , peculiar to Lk. There is danger ahead physically as well as morally. Jesus turns now to the physical side. What He says about a sword is not to be taken literally. It is a vivid way of intimating that the supreme crisis is at hand = the enemy approaches, prepare!
Luke 22:35. ل½…د„خµ ل¼€د€خ*دƒد„خµخ¹خ»خ±: the reference if to Luke 9:3, or rather, so far as language is concerned, to Luke 10:4, which relates to the mission of the seventy.—ل¼„د„خµدپ as in Luke 22:6.

(( الخطر القادم ، تفرد به القديس لوقا ، هناك خطر داهم مادي جسدي وأيضاً معنوي .ينتقل الرب يسوع الآن للحديث عن الجانب المادي الجسدي . فما يتحدث به عن سيف لا ينبغي أن يؤخذ بشكل حرفي . إنما هو أسلوب واضح حي للإشارة إلي الضيقة العظمي قد باتت وشيكة = العدو يقترب ، استعدوا. " حِينَ أَرْسَلْتُكُمْ " إن كانت الإشارة إلي لوقا 9 : 3 (3 وَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «لاَ تَحْمِلُوا شَيْئًا لِلطَّرِيقِ: لاَ عَصًا وَلاَ مِزْوَدًا وَلاَ خُبْزًا وَلاَ فِضَّةً، وَلاَ يَكُونُ لِلْوَاحِدِ ثَوْبَانِ.) )) ، أو بالأحري ، فيما يتعلق بقدر المستطاع بالحديث واللهجة، إلي لوقا 10 : 4 (4 لاَ تَحْمِلُوا كِيسًا وَلاَ مِزْوَدًا وَلاَ أَحْذِيَةً، وَلاَ تُسَلِّمُوا عَلَى أَحَدٍ فِي الطَّرِيقِ.) التي تختص ببعثة السبعين )) .

Luke 22:36. ل¼€خ»خ»ل½° خ½ل؟¦خ½, but now, suggesting an emphatic contrast between past and present, or near future.—ل¼€دپخ¬د„د‰, lift it: if he has a purse let him carry it, it will be needed, either to buy a sword or, more generally, to provide for himself; he is going now not on a peaceful mission in connection with which he may expect friendly reception and hospitality, but on a campaign in an enemy’s country.—ل½پ خ¼ل½´ ل¼”د‡د‰خ½, he who has not; either purse and scrip, or, with reference to what follows, he who hath not already such a thing as a sword let him by all means get one.—د€د‰خ»خ·دƒخ¬د„د‰ د„ل½¸ ل¼±خ¼خ¬د„خ¹خ؟خ½, let him sell his upper garment, however indispensable for clothing by day and by night. A sword the one thing needful. This is a realistic speech true to the manner of Jesus and, what is rare in Lk., given without toning down, a genuine logion without doubt.
