 Pope Shenouda III The belief in Christ was the aim of writing the Gospel. Thus says St. John the Evangelist about all the verses he recorded in his Gospel: "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name" (Jn. 20:31).
