The expression 'the Lord of glory' is a proof of Divinity because glory has no lord but God. And the expression 'Lord of glory' is much stronger than the expression 'to Him be glory'. Both these expressions were said about the Lord Jesus Christ. The expression 'the Lord of glory' was repeated in the words of St. Paul the Apostle about the wisdom of God, which none of the rulers of that age knew; "for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory" (1 Cor. 2:8).
