Worldly spirit is our soul’s death
Every man is of God, every man is a creature of God. It is of no importance how sin has affected and is still affecting every soul or how many souls show as they’ve become repulsive because of sin. Deep down, every soul never ceases to be the shrine of God. We all have a soul and each one of us is the shrine of God. Especially when it comes to other souls, we–be it parents or spiritual fathers– aren’t allowed to intervene or dominate them, or worse still, prevent God from coming and going as if He were at home, officiating and sanctifying the soul.
The mentality of doing whatever we like, whatever we want, whatever we approve of, is a big crime. Today’s worldly spirit is our soul’s death: all we care for is how to live in comfort, how to please ourselves better, how to get rid of whomever bothers or gives us trouble.
