St. Catherine of Alexandria (305)  She was eighteen and noted for her beauty and intelligence. The emperor Maximian assembled 50 pagan philosophers to dispute her Christian ideas, but she convinced them all to convert. After cruel torments, Maximian ordered her to be beheaded.
