It shall come to pass in the day the LORD gives you rest from your sorrow, and from your fear and the hard bondage in which you were made to serve

Don’t you wish that this day comes when the LORD gives you rest from your sorrow and fear, for if it was this or that no one likes to keep them.

But I found in this world some people who loves sorrow and being weary, they just can’t live without it, even if you gave them everything they need or asked for they still stay downhearted and sad and you can never know why. There is a quote by Henry David Thoreau “If misery loves company, misery has company enough.” For you see these miserable people always together wining and rebelling and they do not like anything, and when you start talking by the bible, love, peace and God’s promises they do not listen to you and more they want to drag you down to them and their misery, and these people are already in the churches at work and between relatives. For there is the people called “the naggers” who sit all day talking about their problems, their needs and their sickness. and when you start talking with them about the promises of God they tell you we need real solutions and no preaching, as if the word and promises of the LORD became heaviness in their hearts instead of being hope and solution.

But the LORD who is wiser and more able is saying to us today “ It shall come to pass in the day the LORD give you rest.” But if the person didn’t ask rest from the things that is surrounding him, the LORD can’t interfere in his life, for He is a God of justice and He never impose Himself even over His own children.


ألا تتمنى مجيء هذا اليوم الذي سيريحك الرب فيه من تعبك وانزعاجك، في الترجمة الإنجليزية بدل التعب معناها بؤس وبدل الانزعاج الخوف، وإن كان هذا أو ذاك لن يحب أحد التمسك بها.

لكني وجدت بعض الأشخاص في الدنيا يهوون البؤس والتعب، لا يستطيعون العيش بدونه حتى لو أرحتهم وأعطيتهم كل ما يطلبونه لكنهم لا زالوا مكتئبين وحزانا ولا تعرف أنت لماذا. هناك مقولة قالها الكاتب هنري ثورو "إن كانت التعاسة تحب الشركة مع الآخرين، فالتعاسة عندها شركة كافية" فتجد هؤلاء التعساء دائماً مع بعضهم البعض يئنون ويتمردون ولا يعجبهم شيء وتكلمهم بالإنجيل وبالمحبة وبالسلام وبالوعود الإلهية فلا يستمعون إليك بل أكثر من هذا، يريدون إحباطك وإنزالك إلى مستواهم، وهؤلاء القوم موجودين في الكنائس والعمل والأقارب. فهناك البشر "النقيقة" الذين يتكلمون طول اليوم عن مشاكلهم واحتياجاتهم وأمراضهم، وعندما تأتي لتكلمهم بكلمة ووعود الرب يقولون لك نريد حلول عملية ولا نريد وعظ، وكأن كلمة ووعود الرب أصبحت ثقل على قلبهم بدل أن تكون الأمل والحل.

ولكن الرب الذي هو افهم واقدر يقول لنا اليوم "ويكون في يوم يريحك الرب." ولكن إن لم يطلب الإنسان راحة من الأمور التي تعتريه، فلن يستطيع الرب التدخل في حياته، لأنه إله عادل ولا يفرض نفسه حتى على أبنائه.

We ask for Your rest o Holy One, You made us enter to it by the blood of Jesus Christ whom He took or sorrows and worries, and made us enter to Your presence and dwell in the shelter of Your love. We thank You LORD for Your salvation and chose to give us rest from all what is happening to us in this world which is filled with wars, death and misery. Amen.


نطلب راحتك أيها القدوس، أنت الذي أدخلتنا إليها بدم يسوع المسيح الذي حمل أحزاننا وهمومنا وجعلنا ندخل إلى محضرك ونسكن في ستر محبتك. نشكرك يا ربنا لخلاصك لنا واختيارك أن تريحنا من كل ما يعترينا في هذا العالم الملآن بالحروب والموت والبؤس. آمين.
