A certain leader asked him
Good Master, what do I have to do to inherit eternal life?
-Why do you call me good? Jesus answered. Nobody is good but only God. You already know the commandments: "Do not commit adultery, do not kill, do not steal, do not present false testimony, honor your father and your mother."
"All that I have fulfilled since I was young," the man said.
Upon hearing this, Jesus added:
-You still need one thing: sell everything you have and distribute it among the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come and follow me.
When the man heard this, he became very sad, because he was very rich. Seeing him so afflicted, Jesus commented:
- How difficult it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! Actually, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. LUKE 18: 18-25
