Spanish Priest Becomes First To Die Of Ebola In Europe
The Spanish priest Miguel Pajares, has died in hospital in Madrid, according to a spokesperson for the health authorities in Madrid.
Pajares, 75 contracted the disease during a humanitarian trip to Liberia in August. A nun who was working with the priest, has tested negative for the virus.
The Spanish priest was repatriated last week and treated with the experimental drug ZMapp.
ZMapp is a serum mixture of three humanized monoclonal antibodies for immunological protection against the Ebola virus.
