 HH Pope Shenouda III The Virgin is also compared to the ladder of Jacob" That ladder which "was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven" (Gen. 28:12). That is the symbol of The Virgin who, by her giving birth to Christ, made the inhabitants of the earth reach to heaven.
