If Christ were other than God, and He was compelled to complete the work of redemption for the mere obedience of a command, then redemption would have lost its most important principle, and in addition, it would contradict the words of the Lord Jesus Christ: "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends" (Jn. 15:13). And this also would disagree with the Holy Bible which says that Christ "gave Himself up for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed' (Titus 2:14).
