1- الحالـة الأولـي [ المحتمـل ]: كلمة / if معناها (إذا – لو) و تستخدم هذا النوع ليعبر عن احتمال حدوث فعل في المستقبل (التنبؤ بما قد يحدث في المستقبل)
يأتى بعد if زمن المضارع البسيط ويسمى فعل الشرط ، ثم نستخدم جواب الشرط وهو زمن المستقبل البسيط.

If + ( present Simple )مضارع بسيط will +مصدر الفعـل

If you study hard, you will succeed.
If you go to bed early, you will get up early.
If you succeed, I’ll give you a present. "" للوعد
If you forget the book, I’ll hit you. "للتهديد "
لاحظ الاتي : 
will سوف تختصر الي 'll
will not تختصر الي won't
If the weather is nice, we'll go for a walk.
لاحظ : إذا جاءت كلمة If فى وسط الجملة يبقى فعل الشرط كما هو, بعدها مضارع بسيط سواء كانت أول الجملة أو وسط الجملة.

will +مصدر الفعـل + if ( present Simple )مضارع بسيط
 He will catch the bus if he gets up early.
2 – الحالة الثانيـة [ غير المحتمل] و تستخدم ليعبر عن شئ غير محتمل الحدوث فى الحاضر و المستقبل أو شئ مجرد فرض اى إستحالة حدوث الفعل فى الوقت الحالى .

If + ( past Simple )ماضى بسيط would “’d “ +مصدر الفعـل
☺ If I had a lot of money, I would buy an expensive car.
☺ If I had a million pounds, I would build a big factory.
☺ If I found a dinosaur egg, I would be very famous.

would ( 'd) + ( inf ) مصدر الفعـل + if ماضى بسيط

☺ You would love the film if you saw it.
☺ I'd be frightened if I saw a snake.
تستخدم الحالة الشرطية الثانية في إعطاء النصيحة والإقتراحات
If I were you I would / wouldn’t + ( inf ) .مصدر الفعـل
… لو كنت مكانك , لـ
☺If I were you, I’d go to the doctor.
☺If I were you, I would study hard.
☺If I were you, I wouldn't make noise in class.
لاحظ استخدام were بدلاً من was مع الأسماء المفردة فى الحالة الثانية لتوضيح أنه غير ممكن .
☺ If I were a bird, I would fly all over the world.
☺If he were a lion, he would frighten people.
Question form تكويــن الســــؤال :
لتوقع ماكان سيحدث فى مواقف غير محتملة الحدوث

- would + المصدر …. ( عند الإجابه )

What would you do if you had enough money?
- If I had enough money, I'd buy a car.

 What would you do if you saw a shark?
- I would be frightened. / - I would run away.

 What would you do if you found some money in the street?
- I'd tell the police.
What would happen if you got a million pounds?
- If I got a million pounds, I'd travel around the world.
Unless = If + notلو لم
If Ahmed doesn’t hurry, he’ll miss the train.
=Unless Ahmed hurries, he’ll miss the train.

A) Ahmed asks Soha what she would do if she were rich.
