 Pope Shenouda III The Holy Bible mentions several times that the glory of God is in the East. It is written in the Book of Isaiah: “Therefore in the east give glory to the Lord” (Is.24: 15). In the Book of Ezekiel, there is a prophecy about the coming of Christ in His glory from the East. It is written: “And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. His voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shine with His glory” (Ez.43: 2).
