11 terrorists killed and 32 others arrested
Sovereign sources affirmed Police and Armed forces carried out an extensive security campaign targeting terrorist hideouts in North Sinai.
11 members of Sinai-based militant group Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis were killed and 32 others were arrested during the raid.
Sources said that the armed forces also destroyed 24 hotbeds used as platforms to launch attacks against army and police forces during the celebrations of October war victory.
Over the last year, extremists in the Northern Sinai region have attacked civilians and Egyptian authorities, resulting military and police deaths, and countless other injuries.
Dozens of police officers and soldiers have been killed in bombings and shootings. The army has waged a broad campaign in response that has killed dozens of militant suspects in air and ground offensives.
