Do you know why the prayer of reconciliation is not prayed during the Liturgy of Maundy Thursday?
It is because the reconciliation did not occur except through he blood:
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us”. (Romans 5:8)
