The Immediate natural and physical fruits of the Jesus Prayer
When the bitter cold pierces me, I start saying the Jesus Prayer and a sweet warmth spreads in my entire body. When hunger begins to overcome me, the Jesus Prayer makes me to forget my wish for food. When pain of rheumatism spreads in my back and legs, I focus on the Jesus Prayer and do not feel the pain. If someone harms me, I think immediately “How sweet is the Jesus Prayer” and the injury or the anger move away and disappear. God knows what a great thing had happened to me the sinner.
