27 ديسمبر: يوم القديس يوحنا بن زبدي
1945 - تقسيم كوريا إلى شطرين شمالي وجنوبي.
1945 - إنشاء البنك الدولي وصندوق النقد الدولي.
1949 - إعلان استقلال إندونيسيا عن هولندا.
2007 - اغتيال بينظير بوتو (في الصورة) رئيسة وزراء باكستان السابقة بالرصاص وتبعه تفجير إنتحاري.
2008 - إسرائيل تبدأ عملية عسكرية أسمتها «الرصاص المصبوب» ضد حركة حماس، حيث قامت قواتها الجوية بشن غارات مفاجئة على قطاع غزة أدت إلى سقوط ما لا يقل عن 1315 قتيل و5340 جريح.
