The Jesus prayer heals from anxiety and fear

I wandered for a long time and I walked for three days, without seeing a single village. In the meantime, my dried bread was almost gone and I began to be very much afraid that I might die of hunger in this wilderness. I started to pray intensely with the Jesus Prayer (Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me) from the depths of my heart and all my fears vanished because I placed all my hope in God. The peace of my mind returned and I was again in good spirits.
