أهدى الكاتب المسرحي سيد علي، رئيس المركز القومي للمسرح والموسيقى، 17 صورة فوتوغرافية نادرة، لعرضها على السور الخارجي للمركز.
وتمثل هذه الصور مراحل حفر قناة السويس القديمة، والتي تم التقاطها بين أعوام (1867 – 1869)، وأكد "علي" أنه تم طبع الصور وتجهيزها خلال يوم واحد فقط، لعرضها بالتزامن مع احتفالات قناة السويس.
