Saint Hilaria is a Christian saint whose story appears in different legends. One popular story tells of Hilaria, the daughter of Emperor Zeno, who disguised herself as a man to become a monk. Another, more widely known story, tells of Hilaria, the mother of Saint Afra, who was martyred with her daughter and four maids for refusing to sacrifice to pagan gods
